  I have been going to First Baptist for about 2 years now. Before going here, I attended many churches in Muncie, all having their own style and merits. But when I went to First Baptist, I was drawn in by how the pastor had a passion for the Word. You could hear the sincerity of his belief in the way he approaches God's Word.
  
  The warm and inviting congregation is what I believe hooked me. My wife and I got involved with a wonderful group of people almost right away. We were both loved and challenged by this group, many of which are close friends now.
  
  You won't find a more beautiful church building either. The stone architecture, dark wood pews and balconies, and stained-glass windows make for a great setting in which to worship God, fellowship with other believers, and hold weddings - as my wife and I can attest to. We were married here :)

  First Baptist Church is a beautiful church with a very rich history. Authentic body of believers living out God's mission in the community around Downtown Muncie. I have been attending First Baptist Church of Muncie since June 2006 and have been drawn to this church since. The friendly atmosphere, beautiful building, and numerous ways for me to serve is what has kept me drawn to this church and driven my desire to get involved in any way i can to serve. Since becoming a member of this church there have been many changes, but definitely changes for the better. I have been blessed to have been able to serve with the choir who leads worship for the 1st service which is more of a traditional style, and more recently and currently serving and helping lead with the Praise Band who leads worship for 2nd service which is more of a contemporary style service. Also i have been able to serve on the music discernment team when we were at a point where we needed to see what God's will and direction was for the way we do worship at First Baptist, as well as helped on numerous occasions with helping plan upcoming worship. This is a great church to get involved in and has many ways for you to use your talents and gifts to serve the lord, This church really lives out what we practice and we are a church that- Gathers, Empowers, and Impacts the community around us all while serving the surrounding community in which First Baptist is surrounded by. Even though one day i know i'll eventually move on, i will remember my church family at First Baptist who have been there and helped me grow in faith along my journey thus far.

  Worshiping in this church with its legacy of history helps me feel connected to all the saints who have worshiped there before me and who are now guiding our congregation in worshiping our Lord. When I feel drawn to worship in a traditional format I attend the early service while my children are in Sunday School. When I feel like singing contemporary Christian music, I attend the second service. Whichever I choose, I know the message will be biblically based, logically organized, and well-planned. Awesome people, Great News!

  I have been attending around 5 years now. As time goes by, more and more opportunities come up for me to be able to actually be part of the church and have the chance to serve the community. We recently started a young adults bible study that is a ton of fun while we study and we will be traveling to New Orleans in March to help with disaster relief. Great place to become a member, even if you are just in town for Ball State.
